Photoelectric Effect
This simulation shows how light knocks electrons off a metal target, and recreates the experiment that spawned the field of quantum mechanics. Student can check how changing the voltage, intensity or wavelenght of the light affects the energy of the electrons. Then they should describe the results of the experiment explaining the photon model of light.
