In this 20 minute video Jane McGonigal, who's been designing and researching video games for a decade, defines what kind of skills can be developed through online games. She has tried to apply them to tackle world problems, such as oil shortage, poverty in the third world and global extinction. Students can discuss their experiences in gaming and if they think they can evolve as human beings just by playing. There is a comprehension quiz but no transcript or notes.
